My blog started when I decided to have WLS. My blog has become my before/after/forever blog. I share my blog to learn about myself & maybe someone will learn something from me along the way. We all have something to share. This is MY story! I had the MGB in Feb. 2007. I lost 147 pounds. Now I'm a fat girl living in a skinny body and a whole lots more than weight has been lifted from my life. This is my story, read away...

Everything came back normal. Yahoo. My liver function test is a little bit elevated slightly but has been since my first test following my WLS. I was told after surgery by Dr. Rutledge "for being a obese woman I did not have a fatty liver". My local Dr. said "this comes from the inside of the liver and my liver is working a bit harder than it needs too. Just slightly and just keep checking on it yearly. The levels are the same as they were year and a half ago but had changed after surgery. Glucose was also @ 100 this time and I was fasting. Something to keep a eye on and learn more about. Cholesterol, HDL, LDS and triglycerides are great! Everything else was perfect and normal.
ly 20's and she was only 57. I do hate going for the pap and the yearly exam. I had put that exam off for I think going on 3 years. Bad girl. Luckily I had to get naked for a total stranger that was a intern from another city here on a visit. Phew. Remember I live in a small town. Once I went for my yearly and the next day I saw my doctor at a small town local country fair. Boy, that was embarrassing. Knowing he had just saw parts of me no one should ever see, I wanted to die and go home. LOL That's over with for awhile-thank goodness. I have an appt. for my mammogram later this month. I'll post on the blood work when I hear. Sometimes they call the same day and sometimes it takes days and I have to call and question them. After that early morning fun I went straight to get a coffee. Then off to the grocery store and then I got my toes painted today. I still can't reach my left toe. Even after all the PT I did last year I still have lost a lot of range of motion in my left hip. It's a pain in my ass to cut my left toenails. I'm sad to say. I still have muscle spasms and it still causes me grief and pain at times but it's better now then it was weighing 300 pounds, so I won't complain much. So needless to say it's a joy to cover up my old ass toenails up with paint. I'm getting "old feet". How did that happen? There is no way I can paint my left toenails and I can't get my hubby to do it. I've tried. So it only costs me $3.50 at the beauty collage for a toe painting and I'm good. So as I Twittered/Tweeted/Twitted or whatever I did or said- I enjoyed have my feet up & my toes painted more than I did having my feet in stirrups @ the dr. office today. Oh yeah, how could I forget this- weigh in at the doctor's office is the same as my scale @ home pretty much. I weighed in this morning while dressed on my way out the door to the appointment. What was my weight at the doctors office you may ask? ♫Drum roll please: 149.3 Oh Yeah! I've maintained that weight now for 13 months and I'm proud of myself. What a gift I have been given.OK i gave it a shot. This is why i don't vlog and i blog:
*notice the dog in the back ground outside- he's pooping. too funny!
*i look like a dork.
*i need to sit up straight, my pants are too big, my boobs are to small and i look like a dork. LOL really, I'm laughing over here. But you gotta love the veggies and the flowers!
*I should explain why we have so many DVD's. My hubby has not smoked in 8 years. When he first quit every $dollar$ he would of spent of cigs he spent on DVD's for awhile. Yeah Derrel! And Yes me made the DVD rack. sweet huh
*it's me, our mess and our home and property. Here ya go...

a frappuccino anymore @ Starbucks. I have yet to find a concentrated form of green tea in powder form so I can create my version of a green tea frapp, but I will. So my first love is coffee, then chocolate and I have found a chocolate whey protein I like.
the hospital. The sun is out and should be a nice day today. The rain is returning tomorrow I hear. Poo! I think I'll have the boy water the garden for me today and any other chores I can get in while it's mommy's day. I've also have a new adirondack chair I'm hoping my men will put together for me today.

repair. So I called and of course she is telling me "to come now". So I get Jon out of school to drive him to town to the dentist. It's lunch time, so I go through McDonald's to get us lunch before I drove him back to school. I get 2 cheeseburgers and one fry for all three of us (Jon, Rufus and myself) . Rufus and I shared one of the burgers and 8 fry's. This is my 2nd fast food hamburger in 2 1/2 years and I'm not sure what they put in those burgers but I'm thinking they add something that makes you hungry later. I didn't OINK out, but yesterday was one of those days I felt hungry all day after this stupid little hamburger. Luckily I had just came from the grocery store. So I had strawberry's, grapes and such in my fridge. I ate enough fruit yesterday that you should call me "seagull" today. The strawberry's I bought yesterday were wonderful sweet. Too bad too, cause I only bought one basket thinking they didn't look good. Then a cookie, then fruit, then a baked potato with cottage cheese...Carbs, carbs, carbs...So just say NO to processed crap food-they make me hungry and crave more! The only time that really happens to me is when I eat crappy foods like that. Now that I don't eat like that much anymore I can tell how my body runs on the foods I choose each day. Food for me now is fuel. Strange...but I can really feel the difference now 2+ years later when I eat differently.
this year. My hubby has been very busy in his wood shop working and building. And I'll be working for one of the vendors there selling her product which is homemade dog treats. So I get to spend my day making doggies happy. Silly little cold job, but I love it. No stress, just customer service, being nice, giving dogs treats and smiling and taking money. It's going to be 70 degrees, Mothers Day weekend and a great day for our first market of 2009. $$$Bring on the money$$$$ Susy wants to shop! :)
