We got paid.... And I'm going shopping! Were going to Eugene Oregon tomorrow as there is no place to shop here but Fred Meyers (Kroger) and Wal Mart. So I'm going to hit Fashion Bug, Target, Good Will, and who knows. I have money and I'm not afraid to spend it. It's been a long year without to much shopping. I went to the consignment shop yesterday as I still have $30 credit from consigning my old clothes there. I bought a pair of jeans there yesterday and there size 10. I can't freaking believe it. I didn't own a pair of 10's yet and figured they would fit as my 12's are getting baggy. I fit in size 10! Another Ta Da moment... YaHoo!
*Weight this morning was @ 164
*Total weight loss to date- 127 pounds
*6 more pounds till I'm at 158. And that is a normal weight for my height.
and don't forget I'm almost cute... he he
My blog started when I decided to have WLS. My blog has become my before/after/forever blog. I share my blog to learn about myself & maybe someone will learn something from me along the way. We all have something to share. This is MY story! I had the MGB in Feb. 2007. I lost 147 pounds. Now I'm a fat girl living in a skinny body and a whole lots more than weight has been lifted from my life. This is my story, read away...

insert foot into mouth...
At work this week I had some old guy talking to me about my weight loss. You know what he said to me?????????? Were chatting, and he says "your starting to get cute". Can you believe it. I've laughed about it several times this week. I just thought the words he chose were um funny. STARTING...like I'm not quite there yet. LOL Not sure if that was his way of flirting or what he was thinking or not thinking I should say, but he did say it. I'm thinking he didn't think first.
So several times this week my hubby has jokingly told me the same thing. It's been the joke of the week here.
Funny story, just had to share that one.
Can you say insert foot into mouth!

Monday blahs...
Yuck, back to work... I had the past few days off from work and it was so nice. I really didn't go anywhere. I wanted to get out and maybe take a ride yesterday but we stayed home cause I woke up feeling gassy in the tummy so we just watched a movie and hung out. I woke up that way and took 6 Gas X through out the day. Not sure what I did or ate the day before but it stayed with me all day long. Jonathan had a friend come over to play games and hang out. I want to get out and go shopping but I have to wait until the top of the month so we can get paid and I can buy some new things that I need.
Same ol shit at my work. I've recorded her leaving 3 times while on the clock since I wrote that letter on the 4th. And that just on my shifts when I can see it. I did hear that my district manager is showing this week. I've heard that before as they say a lot they are coming for a store visit and don't ever show. But I am sure hoping he is coming to look at the concerns that were in my letter I wrote. I still have got no delivery conformation on the 2 letters that went snail mail. I contacted the post office and they are looking into it. Did they get delivered and did not get scanned or signed for??? Are they returning them to me? Where are they... I don't know... I'm just hoping my DM will show this week. One of the new hires quit the other day. She already had enough of my bosses ways. She wrote a big ol note about how we had a shitty manager and she is lazy. I'm not sure if she called the DM or not. But it didn't take long to scare that employee off. So back to work I go.
High ho, high ho, off to work I go...

One year later...
Today is my one year surgiversay and I have a few things to share about my year. These are just some of the things I’m thankful for:
*I don’t take pain meds anymore. I have not taken a pain med or anything in 13 months now. I remember in the beginning how hard it was to get through my days without Tylenol. I still carried the weight and the pain was still there but I just kept telling myself “this will get better with each pound I lose”. Not taking any medication into my body alone is worth everything to me. I knew I had to do something because If I felt this way at 40 how was I going to feel at age 50-60? I realize how tired I really was now after losing 125 pounds.
*I can stand up in the bathtub!! I don’t have to get on my knees and push myself up out of the tub, I can just stand. WOW
*My hip doesn’t hurt as bad or the same anymore. I will go talk to my doctor this year about my hip. I believe it's from years of limping and (from an old car wreck) has wore down my hip, so now it pops out of place all the time and I feel crooked and out of place lot of the time. My hubby is my chiropractor these days. The pain now compared to before is not even comparable to before. It just bothers me now from time to time and I don’t find myself in agonizing pain anymore.
*My limp is better. (i limp because my ankle was broken in a wreck. it does not move or flex like before the break many, many years ago.)
*I can walk with a bounce in my step and best of all I feel like walking.
*I can cross my legs
*I can get down on the floor and up without struggle anymore
*I feel better about myself
*I’ve got exercise (swimming) back in my life.
*I don't feel like my job kicks my ass anymore. I feel good running around my store and at the end of the day I don't have to drag myself home.
*I wear size 10/12 jeans
*I am thankful for Dr. Rutlegde (http://clos.net/) and making this MGB affordable. I could of never found the money for a RNY as it was too expensive and I could not afford it since we had to find the funds to pay. Our insurance would not touch surgery of any kind for me. The MGB is affordable to patients that don’t have insurance to pay for the surgery.
Like I said before "I realize how tired I really was when weighing 290 pounds now after losing 125 pounds". BIG DIFFERENCE
These are just some of the things that have changed for me in the past 12 months. I have lost 125 pounds now and have gone from 291 pounds to 166 pounds. I’ve gone from size 22/24 to size 10/12. I made a goal for myself to get to 169 pounds by my one year anniversary. I did make that goal this month and am very happy to weigh in the 160’s. Surprized too as I had trouble believing even this would work for me in the beginning. I was scared and worrying for nothing. This past year has been a good year for me. I’ve said before “it’s the little things that are so wonderful for me”. Little to some, but BIG steps and changes for me. It’s so nice eating healthy and feeling full after a meal. I eat like I am on a diet still and I know that is something I need to do for myself forever now, but this surgery has been a great tool for myself. I have many years to live in this body and taking care of it is forever. I can still have a cookie or sweets, there just in moderation now. One because I don’t crave them as much, and two because I know if I over indulge my body will let me know and react now to sweets and sugar. I’ve just found different foods that I love in smaller portions now. I did stop losing my hair about at 8 or 9 months. My hair loss was never a lot anyway. I would just get a few hairs wrapped around my fingers in the shower. I have been very true to taking my vitamins most days. I don’t feel deprived and feel very satisfied after a meal now. Some days I don’t feel hungry at all. I have found no foods I really can’t eat yet. I have not tried everything, but what I have it sits well with my tummy. I don’t do milk anymore, as it did make me sick 2 times so I just went to soy milk. I do not tolerate greasy foods anymore. I tried an elephant ear this past summer at a fair and the grease went right though me by the evening. Only once have I got sick from eating to much this past year, and I did that to myself. I knew I should have stopped eating that garden burger that day. I should have listened to my head & tummy and stopped eating when I felt full, but I didn’t and I did get sick soon after eating that day. Overall I can eat a healthy amount of food now that I’m 12 months post op. I can eat 2 eggs and a half of piece of toast. I do have to share those eggs with my doggie Rufus cause with the toast it’s too much, so we just share now. I eat a ½ of chicken sandwich if we go out to McDonalds. No fries, no pop, just chicken now, and of course I share that too with my dog. I don’t need the extra foods now to finish filling me, just the chicken and I’m good. My dog is getting fat now, but that’s better than my hubby and passing what I can’t eat to him. I’ve had to watch that, I don’t want to make him unhealthy by shoving my food onto his plate. I always throw the top part of the bread/bun away and just eat the protein. I can have some bread, but overall bread fills me to fast. So if I’m eating a sandwich or something I just toss ½ the bread away. If we go to Subway I order 6 inch turkey sandwich with just lettuce and tomato (no mayo) and throw the bottom of the sandwich/bread away. Subway has the best salads too. Love em! It’s just freeing not to think of food all the time now. I don’t know if you understand that, but food was in my thoughts a lot in my past and it’s not like that anymore.
I am so excited to be below 200 these days. It’s something I never thought would happen for myself. When I say, type or write down my weight I can’t ever say or put one hundred down, as I always type two hundred. Old habits die hard. When I calculate how much weight I’ve lost and I look at the number and I think and say “holly shit, is that right?” LOL I catch my reflection in the glass and sometimes think “who is that”?
The past year has been filled with so many emotions. My days have been mostly good, but there are days my head talks negative to me still. I know it’s from years of failing and feeling sorry for myself. I wish Dr. Rutledge could have bypassed my head too. Just a joke, but just because you lose weight does not make the real problems go away. I work on that everyday too. I’m learning to talking nice to myself, rather than negative talk. Some days are easier than others. I have a husband I truly adore, a pretty good teenage boy that is a sweet young man and a small family and a great best friend. Every one of my family and friends have been great and given me lots of support. I feel lucky to have them talking me through my ups and downs this past year and giving me lots of support and believing in me. I have made some new friends here at Blogger that I look forward to sharing my days with. I look forward to there next post and sharing there days, thoughts and struggles and successes. That means a lot to me. So you know who you are and thank you for loving me and being my friend old or new. You have made a diffrence in my days and I love the support.
This next year is about shaping my body, keep exercising and staying healthy. I have 8.6 more pounds to go until I get to my goal of 158. AMAZING. At 158 and my height at 5'7 -Susy will be normal for maybe the first time in my life. That's something I want bad, so I'm working to get to that goal. Barb told me “it was a wild ride” and indeed she was correct! When I took those pictures the other day of me in my old pants I was “high on life” all day long. I got 2 legs in one of my pant legs that I wore one year ago. It was a wonderful feeling.
CHEERS and Happy Day!

New Stuff...
I was just talking to my hubby the other day about the lack of clothes I have. I have nothing that fits except the things I got in LA in November. I really have not been shopping in a year. I have been to Goodwill and other 2nd hand stores to replace a few things and to the mall once. It’s been a year and I need some new clothes. So we are going to the city tomorrow and visiting my friend that is in the hospital after having a quad heart bypass this past week. Since were so close to the mall I’m thinking SHOPPING!! I really want another p
air of Levi’s 505 jeans. I’ve grown out of my other pair and want a pair that fits. It won’t be a big shopping trip as we don’t get paid until the first of the month. I am starting to have shopping withdrawals and I need my fix. LOL I have not bought anything but a 5 dollar shirt from Wal Mart and 2 pair of pants off eBay. I had a blast in LA shopping with Barb. I could have really done some damage that day to my credit card but we ran out of time. That mall was so big we didn’t even touch ½ of it in 2+ hours. I'm thinking I could get a few things tomorrow.
I still have not heard from the post office about delivery of my signature required certified letter to the corporate office. Can’t believe they have not been delivered yet? WTF It’s been 10 days now. I’m calling one other store today to see if that person may have my district manager’s address. After that I’m stuck. Out of ideas…. ??? Maybe they don’t care. Maybe that’s why there in bankruptcy. Maybe it will take sometime. ??? I’ll give it till March 4th (one month) and keep collecting shit on her and think about what to do then. I sent a copy to his work e-mail too, and not even sure if he got that. My boss is back next week so that will give me a chance to collect more shit on her as she will continue doing what she does. Just a ramble...
It's been a good week for me so far, as my boss is out of town and I can just enjoy my job and my regular customers. I do have today off so I'm going to get somethings done around the house and maybe even the grocery store. I’m not sure why when I got out of bed I didn’t head into the pool like I usually do. Just was nice to be home and quiet. It didn’t even cross my mind this morning to head into the pool, I just stayed sitting on the couch watching the boob tub. I watched the biggest loser this morning that I recorded last night. I’ve been there myself. Starving, working out from 8am to noon, and I could never get below 220 pounds after all my attempts at losing weight. I just find that show interesting and positive when watching there hard work and how they all work together. I do wish I had someone again to count on to help push me and work towards goals together again. I used to have this friend Connie that was lean, fit, and healthy and a professional weight lifter. Boy let me tell you that was intimidating working out with some that has little to no body fat and your 250 pounds. She would never miss our workouts and she taught me a lot for the year + we worked out together. She taught me how to lift weights the correct way and I miss her presents in my life after she moved away. I would have paid her good money for her support as she was that good at pushing and being positive. She is now a personal trainer, but lives to far away from me now. I miss having a workout partner I can count on.
I’ve been thinking a lot about the last year that has just passed for me. Next week is one year since my weight loss surgery. It has been a hard year in some aspects of my journey. Something’s for me are very different; other parts have been exciting and joyful. Most of all I'm thankful for the little things that have changed for me. I understood when Amber (http://amber-weightloss.blogspot.com/) wrote “you come to expect and get used to a loss each month and now that she has halted and slowed down some she is kind of bummed and let down in a sense sometimes still”. I totally understand that! When she wrote that I wondered if and how I will soon feel when my weight loss stops for the most part.
Once again at work yesterday I needed to get down on the floor on my knees and do some work for a few minutes. I tried talking myself out of getting down on the floor. WHY? Because that’s all I known for all these years I’m guessing. I had to make myself get down on my knees. I’m thinking the whole time, “let’s just see how this goes”. Will my knees hurt in pain like they used to? Can I get up off the floor? It’s like I’m scared to try sometimes. Or I’ve avoided doing different things for so long that I’m still talking myself out of it sometimes. I found it didn’t hurt and I got right up without struggling. Then I say “AMAZING”. Hear is another for you- When my family comes out of Wal Mart a lot of the times my son and hubby race with the cart to the car running across the parking lot. My son tells me “mom you’ve lost more than a 100 pounds, you can run now, just try”. I won’t… WHY? Part is my limp and my ankle limits me but that’s just an excuse. I have to find a way to challenge myself so I can gain the courage I need to keep trying new things. So that’s my goal for 2008. To step out of my box more often and just try it.
I do not find people are treating me different as a thinner Susy yet. Maybe that’s just in my eyes, I’m not sure. I do live in a small town and thankful people seem to like me for me, fat or smaller. But it sure is funny bumping into people you haven’t seen in sometime after losing 125 pounds. I’ve got “Susy, your skinny”. LOL Most of the time there saying “Susy, is that you”????????? There is a definite question in there head and coming out of there mouth, but my red hair always gives me away. They know it’s me because of my hair color. And speaking of my hair… I am so happy to have a new hair do on my head. I just love it! I still am wearing NO hair spray and kept it just like the girl cut it while in L.A. See there, a pattern. Change is hard for me. I’ve always thought about cutting it but no one ever came up with anything I could stand or they never had any good ideas for my head. I was very nervous going to have my hair changed that day, but I new I can trust Scott and Barb so I stepped out of my box and took a chance and I’m glad I did. Now I just have to find that in myself and continue stepping out of that box. I will have to talk myself though it, but I can do this.
Still learning…

One hour seems like 12...
Well my work week is over for this week. That was one of the longest weeks of my life at work. Every hour seemed like 12. I still have heard nothing from the corp. office or my district manager about my letter I sent. May take sometime, I don’t know? The last two days have been better on my tummy. I had to just take a deep breath, and trust that I did the right thing and let the mess there un fold as it does. What ever happens I know I could not just walk out and let her keep doing this. I had to make sure someone heard us. My boss leaves on vacation soon, so I don’t have to look at it next week. Thank goodness. When I have to watch her walk out the door mid afternoon when there is piles of projects that need done and then she stay’s clocked in -I just want to scream! On Tuesday of this week she did the same thing again. I printed a paper that shows she was on the clock for my records. I’m now documenting and printing what I see. She left at 2:30 and told me “she was coming back at 7pm to show Beth how to close at 11pm and going home to take a nap”. When my cover shift employee showed at 7pm she told me “Shawna was coming back at 10pm to help her close the store, not at 7pm.” She did neither. Beth is new and as she is learning how to open and close the store and the all paperwork that comes with it. Anyway, I get to work yesterday and Beth calls me nagging. She let me know that on Tuesday Shawna never came back to the store to teach her to close and she was very upset. So that was another day on the clock from 8am to 11pm and she left and went home at 2:30. I can’t watch this much longer. How long do I wait on the big wigs or someone to show or call? When I was driving home yesterday in my car I just screamed out loud in frustration. Made me feel kind of better…. LOL How long do I wait and how long before I call my DM? Will they show? Will anyone show? I e-mailed my district manager a copy and snail mailed 2 copies. They have to sign for the 2 certified copies that went to Alabama at the corporate office. One addressed to my DM and one to loss prevention. Going to wait it out next week while she is gone and see what happens.I had a 3.8 pound loss this week. Yeah for that. I did go swimming this week on my day off. I had a really good workout that day. Pushed myself hard and felt good that day. We have company coming this weekend. Jenny and Cory are coming for a visit as we live close to the ocean/beach. Any reason works for company sometimes when you live near the ocean. Jenny used to be Jon (our son) baby sitter. Now we think of her as family. She all grown up and married now. We met her when she was 15 when she started watching Jonathan.
HAVE A GOOD WEEKEND!
is the spell checker on blogger not working for anyone else? Mine has not been responding for a couple of weeks, anyone else having trouble spell checking on here? I just get no response.

Oh Yeah...
168.8!!!
Goal reached!! (I can't believe I'll ever weigh 169 goal)
Normal here I come... (158 pounds, next goal) When I make that goal you'll never hear me complain again, PROMISE! Any thing beyond that will be dandy but not expected. To me my WLS will be already has given me my life back. My best friend Shelly said from the beginning that she thought "for my height and build I would make it to 159 no problem". I said “no way, I don’t believe it”. Guess I might owe her a “your right Shelly”.

169.2

I really did not believe in the beginning I would ever see 169. I was never able to picture myself in my mind but anything but heavy. I just prayed in the beginning I would get to 169 someday. Then I made a goal to get to 169 pounds by Feb. 21st 2008, which is one year since my weight loss surgery. This morning my scale said 169.2. WOW After all my worrying, wondering, self doubt, and nagging I did it.
My 2nd goal of 158 is the most important goal. At 158 I will not longer be obese, I will be NORMAL. How cool will that be… Susy/NORMAL…

When I write that I can’t believe it. That’s a lot of freaking weight. And best of all I’m almost normal according to the BMI calculators.
Still no word on my letter or from my DM. Driving me crazy and I'm eating Prilosec a lot to keep my stress and tummy under control.

I did it...
Shrinking Susy’s scale this morning said 170.5. YAHOO
Susy is dancing in Oregon.
OK guys, I hit the send button this morning with that letter about my fraudulent boss to my district manager. I will also be dropping it in the snail mail box today to make sure someone hears us. It doesn’t feel good, but feels right. I'm scared and worried for the job I do enjoy. Well see what happens... I proof read it, had the two other employees signed the letter. It was dated for today so we decided to just send it. The "evil Susy" in me did not win. Nothing rude, no tricks, no pay backs, no delays just facts. Karma might come back on me, so it was not worth it. That's what I kept thinking, "what comes around, goes around". I worked on this letter for days now and am very tired of thinking about it. This is just a piece of what I remembered and put down on paper where there was solid proof. I wrote this so many times I had to cut out any nagging and stick to just facts. I took out the last names here but thought I’d share…
We are current and former employees of M G store. We have been witness to the theft of company assets, theft of company time, falsification of company documents and numerous policy violations that are unbecoming of our current store manager, Shawna. This letter details the facts of these allegations which can be supported by employee and company records. Efforts of prior employees have gone unnoticed, uninvestigated and disregarded. However, these unethical practices are compromising the integrity and assets of M G.
The theft of company assets began in early September when we began to notice the petty cash funds were beginning to disappear without notice or receipts to validate expenses. When we confronted our store manager she gave different accounts to the purpose of using M G petty cash: to cover travel expenses to manager meetings, purchase store decorations and/or to remove garbage that was being piled in the store room. Of $275 for petty cash our lowest amount for making change was $183.50. These discrepancies were noted on daily cash accounting documents. However, they were destroyed by Tracie per request from Shawna when the prior district manager, Pam, called in advance to perform a store audit.
We have repeatedly observed the theft of company time by our manager. She has consistently clocked in at M G and within a short period of time has left the store. Neighborhood marketing is an important tool to establishing community ties and contacts. However, there we agree that neighborhood marketing does not occur on holidays or when she has left the community while on personal business.
Nightly closers began to notice a common theme of Shawna working twelve to sixteen hour shifts at their end of day close outs. Numerous times our manager has been on the clock and has left the area for personal matters. Such an incident occurred April 13, 2007 when Emily completed her last shift at M G. Emily called Shawna to towards the end of her shift. However, the manager was in Portland, Oregon and needed Emily to stay until seven or later. Emily set the alarm, locked the doors and left. The police were contacted by concerned patrons and employees were contacted by the alarm company as the store was closed during normal business hours. An off duty employee, Tracie, re-opened the store and waited for the store manager to return, which she did at 7:40 PM.
During Thanksgiving holiday only two employees were physically at M G, but three were clocked in. Tracie saw the store manager come in just after the noon hour to clock herself in and comment on how much food she was about to enjoy. Margaret noticed Shawna supposedly work twelve hours. On December 25, 2007 the store did not open on the scheduled time at one. At 1:30PM a concerned customer called Susy at her residence worried when the store was not opened during scheduled hours of operation on Christmas day. Shortly after speaking with the customer, Susy called the store manager at home and later learned the store was not opened until after two in the afternoon. The store manager told Susy that she would “adjust her time later” as she took the deposit to the bank on her way home just after 3PM. Furthermore, Shawna gave permission to the evening MOD to close M G at 10:20PM on December 31, 2007 so the nightly closer could spend more time with her family on New Year’s Eve and be home by 11pm rather than closing the store.
Current and former employees are concerned with the falsification of company documents. October 13, 2007, employee Margaret discovered she was given an incident report after she followed the store manager’s directions concerning the re-distribution of petty cash after the purchase of Halloween decorations. However, this incident was not brought to the attention of the employee or the cash shortage that seemed to have occurred.
December 23, 2007, employee Tracie was discharged from M G when she called the store manager and said she would be unable to cover Shawna 7PM-11PM shift due to a family emergency. Tracie was told that she must “show or you are fired.” Tracie’s phone records show she called the manager at 4:45PM and not the 6:45PM on the incident report and company separation documentation showed Tracie as a “quit” rather than termination.
Collectively we have asked Shawna about specific events and the reasoning behind them and have not received an honest or consistent response. However, Margaret did not feel comfortable addressing her manager about these issues and called prior district manager Pam . Believing she had indemnity since she asked to remain anonymous Margaret was shocked when confronted by the store manager and learned her hours were to be drastically reduced per district manager request. There was no further inquiry or investigation into the numerous policy violations and concerns for company assets Margaret had brought to the attention of the district manager.
Margaret was let down by the whistleblower policy set forth by M G Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, Section 19. While I am the only employee remaining at M G I am concerned for the welfare of the company with the ongoing theft of company assets, theft of time and falsification of company documents. Again, we ask that you look into our concerns as they are valid and legitimate. Tracie and Margaret enjoyed their jobs as do I, Susy. I really do treasure my job at M G and hope we have not done anything to instill any hard feelings with you or the company. I am concerned for my job as evidence and results of the last employee that took the chance to speak up. Again, we ask that you take a moment of your time to look into our concerns if only for the safeguarding of company assets.

My Morning Coffee
I miss coffee BAD… I do not drink coffee every morning anymore. My Dr. suggests that you don’t drink coffee, alcohol or take meds anymore for the rest of your life after the MGB. I do get an occasional SF soy milk coffee from Starbuck/Dutch Bros. sometimes still for a treat. Shhh But I do try to use it as a treat. I just keep finding any reason to find a "reason" to get my coffee treat sometimes. I have to tell myself “no” or I would be there more often to tell you the truth. So I had to find something healthy for me and yummy to replace my morning coffee/news ritual. So I needed something healthy with vitamins and I found a couple of things that taste good to me, so I thought I would share since Amber asked me too. :) I have a small blender I got from Wal mart for $20. It's small, so it fits on the counter without taking up a lot of space and holds a little over 2 cups. I had the magic bullet but I would not recommend buying one because mine lasted me I think 6 months and it stripped out on the bottom of the blender where in fit into the base. I’ve already got longer out of the cheap one from Wal mart than the expensive Magic Bullet Blender (http://www.buythebullet.com/). Here is my morning ritual recipe. The chocolate drink is the one I make more often in the morning.
Chocolate Whey Protein Drink
EAS premium protein powder (I get my whey protein from Costco)
*6 ice cubes
*1 scoop of chocolate whey protein powder (100 cal, 2g fat, 18g protein, 2 sugars per scoop)
*2 cups or less of plain soy milk (100 cal, 4g fat, 8g protein, 6 sugars per serving)
*1-2 teaspoons of benefiber (just throw some in there)
BLEND My favorite! Mmm... almost like a shake, just icy.
*300 cal
*10g fat
*34g protein
*14g sugar
The whey protein at Costco is load with all kinds of vitamins and different proteins and not a lot of sugar. And it tastes good too. They do have vanilla too. It was a good source of whey protein and I was happy over all with the numbers. I do buy light soy milk if they have it, but I can’t always get it, which does help with a few calories. I just did buy the big box of 15 little boxes inside of Kirkland soy milk from Costco so I’m set for awhile now.
My O.J Yogurt Blend
*6 ice cubes
*1 Yoplait light orange cream yogurt (100 cal, 0g fat, 5g protein, 14g sugar)
*1 1/2 - 2 cups or so of O.J. (100 cal, 0g fat, 1g protein, 20g sugar per serving)
Throw some Benefiber in there
BLEND
*300 cal
*0g fat
*7g protein
*54g sugar
For some reason the sugar in this or OJ in moderation does not bother me. I do take a good hour to drink it. So so so yummy. Anyone remember Orange Julius in the malls? Tastes like one of those, and your getting your yogurt in which is good for the tummy. My Dr. tells us to eat yogurt everyday. Sometimes I do put plain low fat yogurt in the chocolate drink also because I know I need to eat more yogurt and I have a hard time just eating it, so I blend it.
That’s pretty much my breakfast and my morning coffee now. Keeps me full because of the protein and about mid morning I usually eat a South Beach protein cereal bar @ 140 calories. Not always but if I’m going to eat I eat that most days. I think those two drinks are a good source of healthy protein and vitamins with only about 300 calories and I enjoy them both. I get a lot of my healthy items from Costco (http://www.costco.com/) Gotta love Costco!
P.S. Amber- I got my Valentines heart shirt at Wal mart for 5 bucks. Cute and cheap!

Who, What, When, and Where... Most importantly WHEN???
Well I spent my day off yesterday working on a letter to my new District Manger of my store. This 2 page letter goes over just some of the facts and dates I could remember about my boss breaking company policy over and over again. From the borrowing of petty cash, clocking in and leaving, all kinds of things I had to look at. I just kept typing and I just kept remembering. No wonder my stomach hurts. LOL I took the notes from when Maggie called our last DM and added more policy violations I’ve seen and combined them together in my letter. I am calling the two girls today that are no longer there and putting the final touches on the letter with there help and facts. I want this letter not to be full of gossip. I want it too factually, honest and powerful. The other two girls that know and saw this all are willing to sign this paper along with me if we deside to sign it. Do we do this anonymous or do we put our names on it and make it more powerful? I’m not sure what to do there. Any thoughts would be appreciated. I wrote it thinking I would do it anonymously, but when I started writing facts I thought “who else would know this stuff but me”. Everyone else is new. There going to know, so just put your name on it. I don’t know what to do. We were all witnesses to policy violations. We had one employee report the abuse and now I also fear the consequences if we step up and try to do the right thing. But I am scared and worried. Maggie got fired for talking to the last district manager (that last DM got fired in Dec.) about what she was seeing. I’m just such a soft hearted person and that even this makes me upset. I don’t think it’s going to stop as just the Monday after last she left and stayed on the clock again. Even after knowing someone told on her this past November, she is still doing it from time to time. See my manager has to work 5 day/45 hours a week and is on salary. So if she shows the 5 days/45 hours in that week she gets paid well. So she leaves early and stays on the clock to show that 9 hour days. The end of the day computer clocks her out when they end there tills at the end of the night. She knows what she is doing and so do I. I have to do the right thing and if I lose my job I guess inside I’ll know I did the right thing. The letter just needs final touches and then I can e mail it to my new district manager. The big ques
tion is WHEN??? My boss leaves on vacation next Sunday for a week. The little evil Susy inside of me say’s “try to screw her vacation”, but that’s not nice. Do I want to deal with her words and face when she hears I turned her in?????? She will be pissed. When do I hit the send button???? It’s hard not to be bitter because it’s been going on for sometime. She has walked all over employees and cheated and stole for months. It just took us all getting together and talking a bit to figure it out. We all are part time employees so she has no one watching over her. But with time we all figured it out.
Well anyway…I am down to 173 this morning. So that is 3.2 pounds this week. Crazy, that was my total for the whole darn month last month.
19 days
4 pounds to go
169 here I come!
Wish me luck because either way this is happening.
