3 cheer's...

2 of my favorite bloggers posted this week. These two people may not even know they have helped me in parts of my journey. With support, friendship and sharing there truths. Being honest, coming clean with there fears and everyday struggles. I'm proud of both of them for saying what needs to be said and moving forward rather than pushing it aside. I'm proud of them for not being afraid to say the truth.

Why is it so hard to find continued support and blogs after we get to our goal? Why do we stop blogging? Did life just get perfect cause you lost weight and got to goal? I think not! We don't have to stop talking and sharing. I'm scared as hell, I don't trust myself and I want to win this battle this time. I know it's not going to be easy and reading there story's inspires me as I have some of the same feelings. It helps me not to feel so alone. Other struggle, others are scared and others need support just like I do. So I'm staying honest and blogging helps me speak it and I share it so I can live it! I will not look away- I will not lie to myself. When I fall I will be honest to myself! I promise! It's a fact...were going to gain some weight after our lowest point after weight loss surgery. I guess how much weight comes back on is up to us and only us.

check em out...

For the past 4 weeks every Sat. I get a bag of Kettle Korn @ our farmers market. And I eat most of it on Sat. nights. I will not be having kettle korn next Saturday. I'm giving it up. It's my new habit that does not need to be. Once or twice I will get the korn-not @ every farmers market.
What are you giving up????

❀Flowers and the ☼Sunshine make me H.A.P.P.Y!

I hope everyone had a good Memorial day weekend. I was reading about some of your adventures on FB this week. Some of them looked and sounded fun. We worked @ the farmers market in Newport and @ home a good part of the weekend. I got a lot done and I been in the sunshine more the past few days then I have in months. We are having 15 straight days of sun here in Oregon, which is not normal. Saturday I did not have to work as a vendor at the farmers market as this week she did not need a employee. So Derrel and Jon left early to set up our vendor display and I stayed at home for some alone time. My plan was to go in at 9am. I spoke to D on the phone and Newport was so so so windy that day. He was nice and told me stay home where it was 70 degrees and no wind rather than come and stand in the cold wind coming off the ocean. He knows I'm a wienie when it comes to being cold. I went into the farmers market at noon. I was there for 2 hours and I was wind blown in that short time. It was crazy icky windy. Vendor tents were flying and everyone was holding there tents and hats. While packing up and caring a heavy 80+ planter my hubby twisted his ankle and fell. He is lucky and just a bit swollen but like a man he got right up and sucked it up and got busy re-loading the truck. Stubborn men....Grr! He told me later "he knew it hurt bad and if he stopped he would not finish what needed to be done". He hardly even took a second after his fall, he just got right up. Well needless to say he dropped the planter and Derrel is a perfectionist when it comes to his work so since it had a scratch/dent on it I got a cool new 6 foot expensive cedar planter for my deck. SCORE! He is tired of packing this heavy ass planter to the market week after week so I got the dented one (and I can't find a dent?). When he was putting it on my deck for me the other day I told Jonathan "dad will want his $80 bucks from me for this planter-he'll want paid!". LOL Derrel set it down and says' $80 bucks please". LOL I knew it-I didn't even get a deal. LOL I told him "I will wash your clothes forever in trade". he he I got that all set up with 4 bags of dirt, bought 2 more tomato plants, 4 trailing pink geraniums for the corners and I still need more flowers. So today I'm hoping to go to Home Depot (closest home depot is 60 miles) and get the rest of the flowers I need. It's going to be 80 today and I want to be in the sunshine again today. Jonathan has a field trip and is doing a all-nighter and camping with his class tonight so we have the evening alone. Yeah...I can run naked. Thats scary! Our anniversary was a few weeks ago. Being we were in the middle of a farmers market crunch then we didn't really get to do much but corn dogs and a ride. he he It was fun, but today I'm hoping Derrel and I can go to the valley and spend the day just goofing in the ☼sun. I want to go to Home Depot for the rest of my flowers, a coffee, maybe lunch, a walk on the river front in the sun, Goodwill, whatever... just goofing off and holding hands will be nice. Great day out there so I'm hoping to convince him to take the day off from tooling wood today. I want to go outside to play and then we can play inside later :). We worked a good part of the weekend so we need a day off and the boy is gone.

I had ice cream...scale is up... 150.8 Salad for the rest of the week for me. My lettuce is almost ready to eat out of my garden. I'll take a picture this week of my garden and flowers and share with you all.

I'm off to go outside to play! Later gators!

I have nothing to wear...

I was looking over my closet the other day and thinking I've restocked my empty closest really well in the past 2 years. he he And I think I'm a junkie. This is just my shirt collection. No pants hanging here but 2 pairs of slacks. I'm not as big on collecting pants. There are no fat clothes left in my closets... just M and S and apparently a lot of them. And sometimes I still catch myself saying "i don't have anything to wear". And I have yet to buy or put on a dress. I dream of it, but where would I go in one? To the grocery store...LOL So for that reason I have not found one, spent the money on one, or have one yet. But soon-I hope I will have a reason to buy & put one on rather then going to the store for bananas in a dress. :)

I can say that 3 out of 5 probably are used and came from Goodwill or a second hand store. I consigned a lot of my old clothes off to the local second hand store for store credit in her store. And now there mine! Gotta love Wal mart and TJ Maxx too!

Not bad huh...

Have no plans for the weekend except work @ the market. Were kind of $broke$. So maybe a pizza and a movie rental, cook out, maybe fishing, hopefully some kisses♥. There is plenty of freesunshine☼ outside so I'm thinking we will be home and hanging out in the sun and working on the farm and home projects here. I've got a hunny do list a mile long and a hunny that is busy with everything else but what's on my list. he he Build a deck, mow the lawn, finish trimming the house, clean up shit around the property...I've got more. Guess I better get out there and help with his list so we can work on the real list-my list. silly me :)
What ever your doing: I hope your smiling.
PEACE OUT!

Will work for Tomato's...

I've got nuttin... Not much going on here. Same ol', same ol'... Except the fact the sun is going to shine today and this weekend.

Yahoo...at last...finally...bring it...i can't wait...!

It's going to be a wonderful weekend for the farmers market. My favorite tomato guy said 3 more weeks and he will have his yummy tiny tomato's for me. They are the best tomato's I've ever tasted. I'm going to have to barter with him or work for him too so I can afford to have a basket of his yummy tomato's all year long. SUSY WILL WORK FOR TOMATO'S! LOL! Last week I found a necklace @ the market I had to have from my friend at her 2nd booth. So tomorrow I get a new necklace that Jonathan is buying me for Mothers Day. She was sweet and held it for us and gave Jonathan a great deal$. I told Anja (my boss) that she could pay me in jewelry this year as she has the coolest beads and jewelry. But I guess I can't pay the electric bill with jewelry. Plus I wouldn't give them up anyway. I have the best boss. Anja is my friend first. I've lived here for years and have never found anyone I can just hang with, enjoy, relate too or even enjoy seeing until I met her 3 farmers market seasons ago. Her and her husband have 2 small business and are all over @ different markets and they are nicest people. I'm so happy they can afford to hire me to sell there homemade dog treats. Sell, sell, sell... I need the work and I like it, so that's a plus.

My son's wallet got broke into yesterday. The gym at school, not surprised, took the $23 and it's gone. I'm always nagging him to not take his money. He usually leaves the bulk of his money at home and carries a bit in his wallet. This time I had Jon take the money to school. He bought a used NBA jersey off Ebay the other day. I paid for it for him out of my checking acct. So I wanted to make a point and show him the money needed to go back into the bank. My town is tiny. School, small store, bank, library, gas...that's it. So on his lunch break I asked him to go to the bank with a deposit slip and make that deposit. Most days he goes to the store on lunch break and has to pass the bank. Gym was before lunch and the pants came off and the money is gone. My bad...I feel bad now. He is pissed and nagging and wants the whole school finger printed now. LOL -Life lesson, but now I'm short $20. Ug

So for having nothing to blog about-i did well. You know me...long winded. Just thought I should blog, but I'm boring and have nothing to blog about. But as boring as I am...I am happy with my boring/little life! Life is good!

Off to the market! And the ☼☼sun☼☼ is out!

One of my guilty pleasures...

I've created this healthy mocha blended coffee since I can't afford my favorite green tea frappuccino anymore @ Starbucks. I have yet to find a concentrated form of green tea in powder form so I can create my version of a green tea frapp, but I will. So my first love is coffee, then chocolate and I have found a chocolate whey protein I like.

So I came up with this:
Blended mocha protein coffee drink.
In a small bender I mix:

*9-11 coffee ice cubes -I've pre frozen them and keep in my freezer. The more ice cubes you use the firmer and milkshake like it becomes.
*1 Scoop of Frappuccino Mocha coffee mix- 60 calories (Costco)
*1 Scoop of any chocolate whey protein- 100 calories
*4 packets of Equal
*2 cups of cooled off coffee
*Top off with 1/2 or less of chocolate soy milk- 30 calories/skip the soy if you want and you could use just more coffee as liquid.
I add my supplements I take of creatine, glutamine and Benefiber to this drink too.
190 Calories, 19g of protein, 16g sugar & a whole lot of vitamins and caffeine.
Way less calories than Starbucks and I think better$$!

I use a really cool cup I got a Starbucks that is insulated for hot/cold. I just ♥ it. This drink lasts me hours and I love this treat- almost everyday... I also make a mean blended OJ yogurt protein drink too that I blend up every morning. I don't like to eat yogurt so I have found a way to drink it. :)
What ever works-just eat your yogurt!

Mother Lover

Justin Timberlake was on Saturday Night Live this past weekend. The show always RoCkS when Justin Timberlake is hosting SNL. He is a great singer, he's funny, a good actor and not too hard on the eyes. I think he should do SNL all the time. Again this time he is doing a skit with Andy Samburg from SNL. Susy Andy! Tom Cruise and Andy Samburg. Those are my secrets crushes. LOL (now you know)

I saw this last night on-line. It's on my TiVo but we have yet to watch it. I have to TiVo SNL cause I'm never awake at midnight. You may find it rude and you may take offense to this funny skit from Saturday Night Live. It's all in good fun...I lved it!

Laugh away!

Mommy's Day

Happy Mommy's day to all the mom's out there. I'm just waking up here, the boy is still in bed and the house is quiet. Waking up with my O.J yogurt drink and then a bit of coffee, the news, and a lap top. No big plans here @ my house today. We will be going to visit Derrel's mommy as she is home and out of the hospital. The sun is out and should be a nice day today. The rain is returning tomorrow I hear. Poo! I think I'll have the boy water the garden for me today and any other chores I can get in while it's mommy's day. I've also have a new adirondack chair I'm hoping my men will put together for me today.

So just thought I'd share a photo of my son and me. A long time ago and not so long ago. I've changed a bit but he still looks the same! he he

Yesterday's market went well. Well...did not make a lot of $money$. Some weeks you make zip and some weeks we do well. Economy is rough and times are tough, that will make a difference. This years farmers market could be rough when it comes to sales. But were off and running with a new season and I'm so glad to have my job back again. It was windy and colder than hell, but other than that I love working the farmers markets.

DiZZy day...

Don't you all find when you eat "shit" food you crave more? I sure do. That's why I don't indulge often. So yesterday I ran a good part of the day. Derrel's mommy has been in the hospital for days and returned home at last. The family is all tired from being in hospitals and such. So I ran a few errands yesterday for Derrel's mommy. Yesterday was a run around all day, wait some more, go some more, then wait, go some more...kind of day! One of my duties yesterday was also to get Jonathan to his ortho dentist. His brace had broke and he needed a repair. So I called and of course she is telling me "to come now". So I get Jon out of school to drive him to town to the dentist. It's lunch time, so I go through McDonald's to get us lunch before I drove him back to school. I get 2 cheeseburgers and one fry for all three of us (Jon, Rufus and myself) . Rufus and I shared one of the burgers and 8 fry's. This is my 2nd fast food hamburger in 2 1/2 years and I'm not sure what they put in those burgers but I'm thinking they add something that makes you hungry later. I didn't OINK out, but yesterday was one of those days I felt hungry all day after this stupid little hamburger. Luckily I had just came from the grocery store. So I had strawberry's, grapes and such in my fridge. I ate enough fruit yesterday that you should call me "seagull" today. The strawberry's I bought yesterday were wonderful sweet. Too bad too, cause I only bought one basket thinking they didn't look good. Then a cookie, then fruit, then a baked potato with cottage cheese...Carbs, carbs, carbs...So just say NO to processed crap food-they make me hungry and crave more! The only time that really happens to me is when I eat crappy foods like that. Now that I don't eat like that much anymore I can tell how my body runs on the foods I choose each day. Food for me now is fuel. Strange...but I can really feel the difference now 2+ years later when I eat differently.

I start work again tomorrow along with my family @ the local farmers market. D and S Greenhouses will be selling again this year. My hubby has been very busy in his wood shop working and building. And I'll be working for one of the vendors there selling her product which is homemade dog treats. So I get to spend my day making doggies happy. Silly little cold job, but I love it. No stress, just customer service, being nice, giving dogs treats and smiling and taking money. It's going to be 70 degrees, Mothers Day weekend and a great day for our first market of 2009. $$$Bring on the money$$$$ Susy wants to shop! :)

anniversary♥!

Today is our ♥anniversary. Lots to do this week as this Saturday the farmers market starts. Oh yeah...I have a job again! So it was a busy day, busy week, not really a good time for a anniversary. We had a farmers market meeting this afternoon and Derrel has been in his wood shop non stop. We left at 2 and went for a short ride the long way to town in the country. Neither one of us had eaten anything all day so we stopped for a snack and got 2 corn dogs and enjoyed a nitrate on a stick with mustard. No, I can not eat a whole corn dog or I might puke. Yucky grease. But 3 bites is just enough to cure my taste for grease. Let's just say Rufus got his share and mine. :) After the meeting was over we snuck in dinner before we came home @ our favorite Mexican place. Yummy good! I had shrimp fajita in a tangy sauce with onions and green peppers. Derrel had shrimp in a salsa sauce with rice and beans.

Derrel works in a wood shop and greenhouses a lot, so today he shaved so I had to snap a picture or two of our 3 hour date/ride/getaway! ♥ He shaved and was wearing something besides a T-shirt. he he

2002 wedding day photos. I remember my weight in that photo. I was 245 pounds and on one of my many diets due to getting married. By 2007 I had gained 50-60 pounds back and was on my way back to my high of 350 like I was in my early 20's.

I am lucky to have this man in my life! We both love "US" as much as we love each other. I can trust that!
