I hope everyone had a good Memorial day weekend. I was reading about some of your adventures on FB this week. Some of them looked and sounded fun. We worked @ the farmers market in Newport and @ home a good part of the weekend. I got a lot done and I been in the sunshine more the past few days then I have in months. We are having 15 straight days of sun here in Oregon, which is not normal. Saturday I did not have to work as a vendor at the farmers market as this week she did not need a employee. So Derrel and Jon left early to set up our vendor display and I stayed at home for some alone time. My plan was to go in at 9am. I spoke to D on the phone and Newport was so so so windy that day. He was nice and told me stay home where it was 70 degrees and no wind rather than come and stand in the cold wind coming off the ocean. He knows I'm a wienie when it comes to being cold. I went into the farmers market at noon. I was there for 2 hours and I was wind blown in that short time. It was crazy icky windy. Vendor tents were flying and everyone was holding there tents and hats. While packing up and caring a heavy 80+ planter my hubby twisted his ankle and fell. He is lucky and just a bit swollen but like a man he got right up and sucked it up and got busy re-loading the truck. Stubborn men....Grr! He told me later "he knew it hurt bad and if he stopped he would not finish what needed to be done". He hardly even took a second after his fall, he just got right up. Well needless to say he dropped the planter and Derrel is a perfectionist when it comes to his work so since it had a scratch/dent on it I got a cool new 6 foot expensive cedar planter for my deck. SCORE! He is tired of packing this heavy ass planter to the market week after week so I got the dented one (and I can't find a dent?). When he was putting it on my deck for me the other day I told Jonathan "dad will want his $80 bucks from me for this planter-he'll want paid!". LOL Derrel set it down and says' $80 bucks please". LOL I knew it-I didn't even get a deal. LOL I told him "I will wash your clothes forever in trade". he he I got that all set up with 4 bags of dirt, bought 2 more tomato plants, 4 trailing pink geraniums for the corners and I still need more flowers. So today I'm hoping to go to Home Depot (closest home depot is 60 miles) and get the rest of the flowers I need. It's going to be 80 today and I want to be in the sunshine again today. Jonathan has a field trip and is doing a all-nighter and camping with his class tonight so we have the evening alone. Yeah...I can run naked. Thats scary! Our anniversary was a few weeks ago. Being we were in the middle of a farmers market crunch then we didn't really get to do much but corn dogs and a ride. he he It was fun, but today I'm hoping Derrel and I can go to the valley and spend the day just goofing in the ☼sun. I want to go to Home Depot for the rest of my flowers, a coffee, maybe lunch, a walk on the river front in the sun, Goodwill, whatever... just goofing off and holding hands will be nice. Great day out there so I'm hoping to convince him to take the day off from tooling wood today. I want to go outside to play and then we can play inside later :). We worked a good part of the weekend so we need a day off and the boy is gone.
I had ice cream...scale is up... 150.8 Salad for the rest of the week for me. My lettuce is almost ready to eat out of my garden. I'll take a picture this week of my garden and flowers and share with you all.
I'm off to go outside to play! Later gators!
