La La land...

Just a quick post. I was looking at the pictures I've taken so far today on our vacation and I had to share a couple. I have some fun pictures to share after I get home and have time to upload. Were having a really good time. Drove here, got our grocery's, went swimming, went shopping, played mini golf, rode the ski lift over Lake Tahoe, hiked, walked, and walked some more, and ate plenty. Jon is getting a kick of walking from California to Nevada over and over. Were right on the state line here so we keep walking from here to there over the state line over and over. I tried gambling a bit and I got mad cause I knew I could of got a new shirt or something I could take home and keep...so I did just that! Picture below... We still have a few days left and I'll be home to reality soon enough. Until then I'll share a few pictures but I have some really fun, pretty pictures to share. Were walking around Reno and and doing a Pink Floyd laser light show tomorrow night there. I'll share more pics and some fun stories when I get home and settled back into life.

vacation and fucktards~oh my!

weight : 147.8

Goal: To maintain during vacation. I'm thinking I will try every salad between here and CA. on our vacation. Today I'm packing food as we will have a kitchen. Staying in our timeshare saves us lots of money as we don't have to eat out every meal. It's a 2 bedroom small apt with a jacuzzi tub in the master bath in the mountains of Tahoe. It's @ 8,000 elevation and way different then we are used to living here at sea level. Today I'll cleaning the car, house and such and I'll pull out the suitcases to see if there is enough of them for me to pack. LOL~just kidding. Where we are going we will have a washer and dryer so I don't have to take my whole closet. I'm excited cause I won't have to mop or clean for a week. Yeah for that! We have planned several hikes this week around the area. Life feels so good these days... :) Planning a hiking vacation and moving like we do now is so different than my past life. I feel proud, blessed, thankful & excited still everyday even 2 1/2 years later.

I worked yesterday @ the farmers market again. I do love that job. I have great bosses that respect me and know I will sell/work hard for them. I honor what they do and I'm thankful for the job each week. I just hate a lot of the other vendors/people there. Your best to stay in your 10x10 tent and not talk to anyone but customers and when the market is over~run like hell. LOL To make a long story short...mean people suck and I don't understand the stupid ones. People act like kids in high school with there little clicks, lies and gossiping shit. Were all there to make money and a lot of them will do anything to sabotage you and your business. I'm so kind hearted that I forget there are mean, bad, rude, sucky people out there lurking and looking and ready to take you down. I just don't understand why?

So wish me luck...I'm about to spend 10 days with the teenager and my man. Lordy! Really, were all very excited to get out of here and just not care what day it is for a bit. I'll post some pics when I return but until then....

LATER GATORS! I've gone hiking, gambling, boating, swimming, walking, eating and relaxing.

More summer photos...

Been a busy week around here. Had something scheduled for each day this week besides work. I am working for the farmers market again tomorrow and of course D and S Greenhouses will be set up too. Beautiful weather expected and that is always nice not to have to work in the cold or rain. More customers come to the market too and that's always a plus+$. We have 11 more days till vacation and YES I'm counting. I can't wait. Were heading to Lake Tahoe NV on the CA/NV border. We have been there before but always in the winter months. It will be fun going in the summer and we can't wait to go hiking and be able to get outside more than in past years. As D and S Greenhouse's works summer months our family never takes a summer vacation. If we vacation we do it in the off season because the farmers markets are not running in the winter. This will be the first time in many years we get to travel when it's warm. yeah! I wish it was Hawaii but any vacation will do. We are driving and going to Klamath Falls Oregon, Reno NV, Lake Tahoe NV & through the woods and who knows where else. We have 2 hikes planned already in the mountains around Lake Tahoe. Sweet!

I've got a couple of pictures I took this week to share. First I got my first pick off my tomato plants this week. Only 4 tomato's but many, many more to grow. I was excited and they were frickin yummy. So like me I snapped a pic. :)

Jonathan worked the aquarium again on Wed. He has worked/volunteered over 200 hours so far so they gave us family season passes for one year. On our way to pick him up from work the other day Derrel and I snuck a hour before he got off to surprise him at work while his was interrupting with guests. We searched and looked for him and found him and he was surprised to see us and happy. Get this~ he was washing windows/glass when we first got there in the touch pool area...who knew the boy did windows???..."?not me?", ~he doesn't even clean his room at home. Too funny. Well now I know! LOL We picked on him for a bit and let him get back to work and walked around for a short time before he got off. I kept taking pictures of him at work on my cell phone. His face in the photo below is funny. Bet he's thinking~ "mom stop taking pictures of me at work". The picture of me is before my hair cut. I was in so need of a haircut...I was happy it was hair cutting day that day. Just call me Shaggy Susy :)

So that's about it for the week. I'm pooped now. Today I've scrubbed with bleach the bathroom tub and the fridge. Then I swept, mopped, toilets, laundry, dusted, did dishes. Jeez what didn't I do today. I think it's Facebook time!

d.u.m.b. a.s.s.

I've got a quick little dumb ass story to share with you.

It's too good not to share! LOL

So get this~In Oregon we still don't pump our own gas. I'm getting gas @ my local store on Friday night. I never get gas there as it's cheaper in town most days, but I'm out so I have to. I pay for gas with my credit card & he scans my card at the pump. He takes off toward the office and I'm thinking "why is he taking my credit card inside-that's strange"? He comes back and takes care of the customer beside me getting gas also. Gives him his card and receipt and he drives off. The attendant comes back to my car and shows me a blue card and asks me "if this is my card"? I say, "no my card was black and you headed into the office with my card for some reason". He shakes his head, feels in his pockets and heads back into the office. Comes back out and tells me "he just gave my credit card to that other customer that drove off". He still has there credit card in his hand. OMG ??? Can you say dumb ass=FUCKTARD??? So he assures me he knows the local that drove off with my card and he's not a thief so there is no reason to cancel my card. He tells me "he'll come back". Sure...with all the places now you just scan your card and run out the door I'm going to leave a open credit card floating around and wait for some guy to bring it back. I don't think so. Again= dumb ass! So getting gas=a long phone call to CC company. Gr ~Oh it gets better~ I call the credit card company to cancel the card and they tell me my card was charged for my gas and the customers that drove off. He ran my card 2 times (at the pump and inside).

Lordy. 4 phone calls later, I'm now credit card less and 3 trips to the gas station later my short trip to the gas pump is over. But I got gas!

✔Check the gastric bypass at the door...

weight 152.4

It's time~ To ✔check my gastric bypass @ the door and start living my life!

I going be honest. I still feel worried some days and I know it's all in my head. Now that I'm 2 1/2 years post op this statement fits myself, my feelings and my life to a T. I need to check my weight loss surgery at the door and let go of my past mistakes and not make the same mistakes for the next 40 years.

I often wonder how could I feel bad weighing 152 pounds when once I weighed close to 350 pounds??? But there are days I do feel bad. I can't keep kicking myself all the time. It's the great mind-fuck. When I don't get excited in the mornings now because I weigh 152 instead of 147 that is wrong and a injustice to myself. I must not forget where a came from but be happy at where I am at. In a sense forget about it but remember at the same time. That is a fine line for a fat chick. ✔She remembers she always gained back what she worked so hard to do in the past. ✔She remembers the pain and sadness. ✔ She remembers all of it. And that's why some days she still feels scared or worried.

✔I've got control, I've learned a lot and changed even more...this life is mine. Not to obsess but to control. I make myself proud everyday with the things I can do and choose to do. This is not permission to gain weight, this is permission to for once be happy in my skin and work hard to make myself proud.

"You can't have a better tomorrow if you are
thinking about yesterday all the time."

~So I am ✔checking my gastric bypass at the door and I'm going to start living my life and talk less and less about it everyday! WLS is not the only part of me, it's a piece of me. This is my life and I'm happy so let's enjoy it!

✔You must be true to yourself.
✔Strong enough to be true to yourself.
✔Brave enough to be strong enough to be true to yourself.
✔Wise enough to be brave enough to be strong enough to shape yourself from what you actually are.

A little less talking about weight and a lot more about life. And you know I'll have plenty of photos. I love taking photos.

I got this! Just do it Susy!

Mary's Peak Hike

Today is the first of the month. You know what that means??? Today is weigh~in day. I weigh everyday but the first day of every month I record and track my weight and log it on my sidebar here on my blog all the way @ the bottom. I've logged it there since Feb. 2007. I'm maintaining now and planning on keeping it that way. 15~16 months now of maintaining my current weight and only 40 more years to go. LOL

weight: 150.2

Heading into work this morning at the farmers market. I'll try not to spend all my earning in tomato's and veggies. :) Jon is spending the night at the aquarium tonight with the group he works with. They are camping out in the shark tanks tonight. A shark sleep over~how cool is that!!!??? I'm jealous! So Derrel and I have a ♥date♥ tonight. Not sure what were doing, but for now I'm heading into work.

We took a hike yesterday so I'm just sharing my pictures. And you know I've got pictures! Susy loves taking photos. It's beautiful up there @ the summit of Mary's Peak. We only live a little over a hour from this summit. Mary's peak is the highest mountain range between the ocean and the valley here in Oregon. Lots of bugs and grasshoppers. We hiked to the summit, had lunch with the bugs and grasshoppers. I even ate a bug with my turkey sandwich (I think) LOL and here are my pictures. We took 50+ miles of back roads today through the forrest getting to Marys Peak and home instead of the main highway. Love these rides & hikes. Why go the hwy. when you can go the back way???

Lunch with a view!

You know what to do...wanna see more pictures, I've uploaded them to Facebook:
