Remember that list I made sometime ago here on my blog. Well Tuesday Derrel and I did a trail that is on my "gotta do" list. It's a list I made while losing weight of a few things in my life that I would like to do without the limits of my weight. I've stood aside and watched life go by long enough. My weight took so much from me for many, many years. Sure I was happy (i thought) being heavy, but for me deep down inside when I had to stand aside or not join along because of my weight it crushed me inside. My weight had taken enough from me and I knew if I didn't do something I was in for more depression, more pain and my health would continue to worsen as I aged from obesity. I didn't realize how tired I was being 300 pounds until it was gone.
Long story...but this hike down, and up and through the woods was on my "gotta do" list now that I've lost weight. A few years ago this hike kicked my ass and my feelings. I hurt, it hurt, it was too hard and I beat myself up as much as the trail kicked my bodies ass. That day was a sad day. Again, long story. So I've got a silly little list now and this hike was on it that list.
I did it...and it barely hurt. :) LOL
and it was fun this time.

Way to go Susy! That is awesome! I'm sure you must have felt like a million bucks accomplishing that!
Congrats on your accomplishment. I love the pictures. You must have had a wonderful time. I stumbled upon your youtube video this morning.... Wow, Susy.. What a wonderful show of your journey. You must be so proud!!!!
That is so awesome! And funny 'cause I went on a hike over last summer and got my butt kicked also (I fell ...didn't help) and I think when I finish losing weight that's the first place I'm going!
I also had a question for you...I'm looking for some new morning drinks (CLICK! is just too expensive) and was looking at your orange protein mix. Could you tell me how much of what you add to everything? Thank you!! (ja.miller@comcast.net)
I emailed Jenn and anyone else that might want to know about my morning drink -
Orange Cream Yogurt Protein Drink
6 ice cubes
1 Orange cream yoplait yogurt
OJ
1 scoop of Matrix Orange Cream protein
I also add all my supplements to this drink-spoon full of creatinine, glutamine, and Benefiber YUMMY GOOD!
And I think that hike for you will be great. I felt proud and it was so so so much different 150 pounds lighter. My head kept telling me that I can't do this before I went in. I was scared. One heavy girl came out before we went in...she was red, beat, winded, tired and warned me on the way in it was hard. I knew that it was a hike up and out and my head kept trying to tell me "your still a fat girl, your going to get down there and get stuck again". My fat head did not win. I did it and it felt great!
