A couple of weeks ago the president of the local farmers market called here looking for me and talked to Derrel about me working for them. They needed to hire an assistant to the manager for the market this year. A month back or so we were at the first market meeting on a Saturday and they were talking about the budget and a new hire. I started listening really hard. On the way out I asked Karen (manager) where I would apply for that job? I was interested and thought it would be great. It is final- I got the job, the pee test is done, paper work is done and I start Saturday at 6:30am. I'm so excited. I will be doing a bit of everything from putting out the signage, parking vendors, debit machine, customer service what ever Karen finds for me to run around and do. The market is full of the same folks each week and most everyone is really friendly. It will be great and I'm excited to get paid and be busy while I'm there anyway. So Derrel and Jonathan will sell for D & S Greenhouses. We have cedar planter, benches, plant caddy's, wagons, flowers, shrubs and I'll make a few bucks too while freezing my ass off. I hate being cold. That's the only thing that sucks. The market is on the beach and there are lots of times the beach is windy and cold. I have to buy a "real" coat that is water proof and warm and not for fashion. Cause I'm a "weenie" when it comes to being cold. And since nothing fits but one coat I need a new waterproof/rain gear coat. So I'm pretty thrilled about all that good news.
1st Farmers Market starts this Saturday for us. Mothers days was a great day for us last year with his cedar planter and flowers. Wish us luck. I'll take some fun pics to share.
Oh yeah... I got unemployment for harassment from my old job. I was very please about that. They did me so so so wrong. I was really just trying to do the right thing and I paid for it. I still have a case pending with the Oregon Labor Board. Which will take sometime but I am following through with the harassment case if there is one to be found. State of Oregon seems to think I do. Time will tell. I have let go of it and getting my unemployment helped. I had a real hard time not being angry. It ate me up and was on my mind a lot. Too much and I knew I had to just let it go and trust I did the correct thing. And I'm glad the state agreed with me.
But I found an assistant mangers job anyway so it all worked out.
EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON!
