Green Tea

I'm trying hard to find a green tea I enjoy the same as I enjoy a cup o coffee or espresso. I found a zen green tea I love. And today while passing Starbucks I got a blended green tea. Yummy! Dr Rutledge says' coffee is a no no for us. *You lucky RNY patients sucking down your coffees guilt free*. One of the differences between a RNY patient and a MGB patient is at the connection and where that connection is connected to the bowel. Dr. R stresses over and over about the MGB and WLS and the big concern for ulcers and the risks you should understand. The acids in coffee's and tea's kill the "good" things in your tummy. We should NOT drink coffee, smoke, drink alcohol, take aspirin, some medications and such. His opinion... his words... and if you do these things you'll most likely be back to see him someday with a bleeding ulcer or some complication. Straight forward, to the point. Eat things that are good for the gut. Such as yogurt everyday, whole wheat, fiber and GREEN TEA. We can have all the green tea we want with his blessing. It's good for the gut and good for you.

OK I LOVE COFFEE. This has been a hard one for me the past few months. Just as I thought 2 years ago- i miss it. I still want it just as bad as I did 2 years ago. Doesn't mean I'll never sip coffee again but I want to find a green tea I love for my everyday cup I enjoy. I'm still trying to find the right green tea that's yummy. Any suggestions on brands, yummy green tea's you may love - please share. I go to the store and stare at all the brand of tea and wonder which one to buy. There is a big difference between good coffee and crappy coffee's for sure. So which one do I buy and I'm so confused. LOL Are all tea's created equally? Do I buy the cheap one, the cute one, the expensive one????? So like I said share your favorites with me. PLEASE :) And yes I'll take sugar with my green tea.

Today the blended green tea minus the whip @ Starbucks was a nice change from the warm zen. And it's was even green. LOL I enjoyed it! And it was good for me. TRY IT!
