A couple of things caught my eye and my head this weekend that have changed for me since surgery.
The first thing is I took a bath the next morning at the hotel where we stayed. Aw :) Our tub at home is so so small that when I get any where with a normal sized tub I jump right in. Anyway, I was able to just stand up after soaking in the tub. Not get on my knees and push myself up out of the tub, but rather just push my self up and stand up straight. BIG ONE PEOPLE. I noticed it and I was amazed and thrilled. I also felt good being out in the heat and did not get short of breath. We parked at the end of the parking lot both days and I didn't cringe of worry that I would "hurt" to bad for the walk. I actually thought to myself yeah he is parking in the back so we can get extra walking in for both of our health sakes. I was not the biggest girl there anymore. YEAH for that! I did not have or feel deprived at the sight of all that grease and food everywhere. We did eat before we went so that did help. I knew what that food would make me feel like if I ate something like a corn dog or french fries. That is one thing about surgery, you will pay if you over indulge in grease or sugar (at lease for me). I can still have "some" but your body will react and not always kindly. I did have about 5 small bites of a elephant ear on Saturday. Even just having 4-5 bites of that fried food my body reacted. Not bad but it was like the grease went right through me. My body can not adsorb it anymore or not as much of it. For me grease is the one thing my body can't tolerate to much. I have not got sick as I have not tried to many fried foods. But I ate 2 little fried chicken strips a few months back and it did the same thing to me. Sorry if I'm getting to personal but I know people thinking or going through surgery want to know what it's really like day to day. I want to share what it's like for me day to day. This surgery really is a personal journey in many different ways, it's not the same for everyone. That's why I share... Anyway, it wasn't a big deal, just slippery... :)
That's enough sharing... That was just a couple of things that made me go hmm...
